On this day you will start by stopping at the Lava Center and afterwards head to the Kerid Crater Lake. Kerid crater lake is a 3,000 year old volcanic crater lake, The lake itself is relatively shallow, between 7 and 14 metres depending on rainfall and other factors. After taking a walk around the crater you will head to Laugarvatn Geothermal Bakery and get to taste the bread that they make following an old recipe, dig it into the warm ground and bake it for 24 hours. They then dig the bread up, and it’s delicious! After tasting the bread you will stop at Geysir Geothermal Area to see the exploding geysers and the lively Strokkur which spouts water 30 metres (100 ft) into the air every few minutes, followed by a visit to the Golden Waterfall Gullfoss Waterfall – one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls. You will stop at Fridheimar Greenhouse for Tomato Soup, bread, and can add more courses before bathing in geothermal waters at the Secret Lagoon. You will then head back to your hotel for the night.
