Day 2
Helicopter tour, Whale & Puffin Watching

You will start the day by taking a 40 – 60 minute helicopter tour. On this sightseeing tour, we make sure to land off the beaten track and away from the crowds to witness the regions raw energy first-hand. In the landing place of Hengill geothermal area – named after the Hengill volcano – you can witness upfront the untouched Icelandic nature. We bring you close to hot springs and boiling mud pots, and you might even see some sheep wandering around the valley in the summer. Note that this is not a regular tourist site, there are no safety ropes etc. – it is just how nature created it. Furthermore, no matter the season or time of year, this area always brings magical, colorful and beautiful views. On our way back we make a scenic pass over Reykjavik, to give you a unique aerial view of Icelands capital.*Please note that the helicopter tour is depending on the weather conditions and can be rescheduled due to weather. In case the helicopter tour is canceled we will offer you to hike to the newly active volcanic eruption site. Optional: Private Hike to the 2021 Volcanic Eruption site at Geldingadalur valley (Duration 3 – 4 hours). Enjoy a hike to the volcanic eruption site that was active between March and September 2021 to see the newly formed lava. The hike will take approximately 1-1,5 hours each way and the trail is conveniently marked. This is an ideal hike if the weather conditions are good. In the afternoon, come aboard a luxurious yacht and see the incredible wealth of marine wildlife that lives in the waters just off the shores of Reykjavík City. Nature lovers looking to see some of Iceland’s majestic whales, dolphins, and porpoises.  The most common sights are minke and humpback whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Perfect trip!

Working with Sig, the company owner, over email, this trip came together very easily. I had certain things that I wanted to see and Sig filled in the rest. We went directly from the airport to the Blue Lagoon, and had a first class spa experience there that I didn’t even know was available (Thanks, Sig!). We stayed at Hotel Ranga for 3 nights, a great base for our day trips. Great place, delicious food. We had a super Jeep experience into the wilderness with Lulle, who entertained us all day with great Icelandic stories. Andri took us out for Northern Lights hunting. All of the guides were great! Knowledgeable, fun to talk to, always on time and eager to please. I can’t say enough about how great this tour company is. I wanted to visit the Saga Centre (museum) which is closed in the winter, and Sig got them to open just for me. Sig chose Hotel Borg for our last 2 nights in Reykjavik, a wonderful hotel in a great location. Couldn’t be happier.

World Class planning and execution. Absolutely amazing service in a wonderful country.

Deluxe Iceland is 1st class, and they made this the most perfect vacation ever. Every detail was attended to. From the minute the arrangements we made with Anna, who worked to make sure we hit every spot to the driving with Unnar, we made sure everything executed flawlessly. I would give them 10 stars if the system allowed. We have traveled the world but never had a better trip than this one. We will definitely be back! I recommend anyone to book with this world-class team.

Five Stars Best Of The Best

If you want to have a first class, five star Iceland experience look no further then Deluxe Iceland. We just came back from a 6 day/5 night visit to the southern part of Iceland and it exceeded all of our expectations. Not only is the country beautiful and the people welcoming, friendly and safe, Sig has taken luxury travel and service to another level. From the moment you land to the moment you leave, every detail is accounted and designed around you! The schedule is your own, no rush or pressure, but Sig is ready to take you to all the best sights and his knowledge of Iceland and it’s history is unmatched (I asked a lot of questions!). I would recommend you just let Sig and his team set your days and you will not be sorry. He knows ALL the best sites across all of Iceland – the places tourists want to go, and some you may not know about. He also has access to all the best restaurants and can provide an elevated experience away from many of the crowds. Sig was always on time, always smiling and friendly, no request was off limits and he took us door to door, everyday, in a clean Mercedes Van with WiFi. He also has a few surprises along the way to fully immerse you in Icelandic culture, tradition and fun. I will be coming back and highly recommend Deluxe Iceland to anyone looking for a bucket list experience. Thank you Sig!!

Awesome trip to Iceland

So in the summer of 2020 my mom and I had a trip planned for Iceland, unfortunately the pandemic happen but Deluxe Iceland changed our trip for the following year, we were still did not want travel. Deluxe Iceland understood and pushed our trip for 2022. We finally went to Iceland on May 1st 2022, and had the greatest experience. Viktor and Sigurour were awesome at helping us out and super reliable people. Jonas was a great guide and great driver, and took us to all the place that we had planned out. Food was great and hotels were nice. Deluxe Iceland is a great company. Thank you for everything.

Incredible company and guide!

We schedule a week visit to Iceland at the end of Sept for the week of Thanksgiving through Victor at Deluxe Iceland. They gave our family of 5 (ages 13, 15, and 18) what we all consider the best vacation we have ever had and we have Deluxe Iceland to thank! They tailored the entire trip to the type of activities our family enjoys while still managing for us to cover all of the highlights of Iceland at this time of the year. They also managed to do this within 6 weeks of visiting. Jonas was our private guide and driver the entire time. All 5 of us absolutely adored him and he added a number of things that made our trip special. He has the perfect balance of knowing how involved to be and when it is time to chill or have family time. We were able to see the Northern Lights our second night in Iceland and Jonas took the time to make sure we had all the family pictures we needed to create our Christmas card and then had hot chocolate brewing in the back of the car to our surprise. When it was too windy one day to snow mobile, he suggested we go on ATVs and it was definitely the most favorite thing for our boys. Every day was something new, wonderful and private. The restaurants were equally amazing and varied and Jonas managed to find places with the best fries- which was what was most important to my daughter. The country and people in Iceland are absolutely amazing. I want to go back in the summer and experience new things. Highlights of our trip were: ice caving, seeing the Northern lights, visiting a family for a day of life on a traditional dairy farm (which surprisingly was one of my kids favorite things), private yacht to see the whales, walking, shopping and eating around Reykjavik (definitely go to Apotek), 4 wheeling in the snow and seeing hidden waterfalls. Blue Lagoon is also a must and I would go upon arrival vs. on your way out. We arrived at 6:30am and were there by 8:15 and it was a perfect way to start after getting no sleep on the flight.
