Sig is an exceptional tour guide and provided us with a wonderful, memorable experience. We asked him to organize a very active trip in addition to showing us all of the beauty Iceland has to offer. He did an amazing job on providing us with a perfect blend. Sig is intelligent, an impeccable communicator, and has a great staff to assist him. We can’t thank him enough for an amazing trip.

My wife and I were planning a little away free time for a few days to Iceland for our first visit, I happened on Deluxe Iceland and was very happy that we used Sig, the most important quality of any good business is service and he goes beyond to give you the best service possible. He is also very knowledgeable about the country and what it has to offer. We are planning to return and would highly recommend Deluxe Iceland as we plan to use them again

We schedule a week visit to Iceland at the end of Sept for the week of Thanksgiving through Victor at Deluxe Iceland. They gave our family of 5 (ages 13, 15, and 18) what we all consider the best vacation we have ever had and we have Deluxe Iceland to thank! They tailored the entire trip to the type of activities our family enjoys while still managing for us to cover all of the highlights of Iceland at this time of the year. They also managed to do this within 6 weeks of visiting. Jonas was our private guide and driver the entire time. All 5 of us absolutely adored him and he added a number of things that made our trip special. He has the perfect balance of knowing how involved to be and when it is time to chill or have family time. We were able to see the Northern Lights our second night in Iceland and Jonas took the time to make sure we had all the family pictures we needed to create our Christmas card and then had hot chocolate brewing in the back of the car to our surprise. When it was too windy one day to snow mobile, he suggested we go on ATVs and it was definitely the most favorite thing for our boys. Every day was something new, wonderful and private. The restaurants were equally amazing and varied and Jonas managed to find places with the best fries- which was what was most important to my daughter. The country and people in Iceland are absolutely amazing. I want to go back in the summer and experience new things. Highlights of our trip were: ice caving, seeing the Northern lights, visiting a family for a day of life on a traditional dairy farm (which surprisingly was one of my kids favorite things), private yacht to see the whales, walking, shopping and eating around Reykjavik (definitely go to Apotek), 4 wheeling in the snow and seeing hidden waterfalls. Blue Lagoon is also a must and I would go upon arrival vs. on your way out. We arrived at 6:30am and were there by 8:15 and it was a perfect way to start after getting no sleep on the flight.

Working with Sig, the company owner, over email, this trip came together very easily. I had certain things that I wanted to see and Sig filled in the rest. We went directly from the airport to the Blue Lagoon, and had a first class spa experience there that I didn’t even know was available (Thanks, Sig!). We stayed at Hotel Ranga for 3 nights, a great base for our day trips. Great place, delicious food. We had a super Jeep experience into the wilderness with Lulle, who entertained us all day with great Icelandic stories. Andri took us out for Northern Lights hunting. All of the guides were great! Knowledgeable, fun to talk to, always on time and eager to please. I can’t say enough about how great this tour company is. I wanted to visit the Saga Centre (museum) which is closed in the winter, and Sig got them to open just for me. Sig chose Hotel Borg for our last 2 nights in Reykjavik, a wonderful hotel in a great location. Couldn’t be happier.

Truly a spectacular visit and week in Iceland. So fortunate to encounter this company. The office staff, Olaf, was amazing! She customized our trip and included various adventures that we requested to make it extra special and memorable. Our guide, Jonas, was extremely personable, knowledgeable, friendly and had a wonderful demeanor. He showed pride and knowledge of Iceland.
