Magical Family Trip to Iceland

My family and I just returned from a magical trip of a lifetime, exploring Iceland with Ingi, our amazing guide from Deluxe Iceland. From the moment we landed until we departed, Ingi took such thoughtful care of every detail. We spent ten days, with adventures that included fly fishing (we caught Arctic Char), boating among ice bergs in a glacial lagoon, hiking volcano crater rims, exploring waterfalls, puffin cliffs on the Westman Islands and bathing in geothermal pools. And every day we enjoyed amazing food, and beautiful hotels. Deluxe Iceland arranged an excellent itinerary and Ingi made sure our every need was taken care of. His knowledge of all things Icelandic made the trip a very rich experience. He even did advance research into my family’s ancestral home in Isafjordur prior to our arrival and was able to take us directly to my great grandparents home, from which my family emigrated to Canada in 1898! Ingi’s enthusiasm for our itinerary made it so much fun. Deluxe Iceland created a once in a lifetime magical trip for our family–one that we will be talking about for years to come!

Best trip ever

Sig and his company did a super job accommodating our family of grandparents, and two families with kids ranging in age from 1 1/2 to 6. They made sure we all had fun. Hotels were wonderful as well as a stay at a villa that fit all 9 of us. Kids loved the petting zoos, pony rides, swimming pools and best ice cream ever. They also were enthralled with the monster truck and the ride on the glacier and walking through the ice cave. The adults were enthralled with the Blue Lagoon, hiking to waterfalls and snowmobiling. Food was excellent too. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the care and detail provided by Sig. We will be back again soon. Thank you.

Amazing Family Trip in Iceland with Deluxe Iceland

Deluxe Iceland did an incredible job planning our family trip. We worked with Viktor for a few months ahead of time. He was informative and very patient, helping us plan the perfect trip for our family. He organized and took care of all the details in advance so we could enjoy our trip without any hassles. When we arrived in Iceland we were greeted by our unbelievable guide Andri who showed us around Iceland, taking us to the blue lagoon, the golden circle, a local farm visit, the lava center, snowmobiling, and so much more. He was so knowledgable, extremely personable and just such a nice person. He added so much to our trip and we would highly recommend requesting him if possible. Everyone at Deluxe Iceland was very helpful and accessible while we were there. Viktor and Siggi were always quick to respond if we had any last minute questions. We felt relaxed and comfortable throughout our whole trip. If you want to have THE experience that you’ll remember forever, we highly recommend using Deluxe Iceland!

Winter Wonderland private tour

What an amazing experience! Traveled with my mother (in her 70s). We selected the Winter Wonderland tour and customized it to our interests and skill level. We had the same tour guide the whole trip – Lulli who was wonderful. All the hotel selections were amazing (Hotel Borg, Fosshotel, Hotel Ranga, and Blue Lagoon Retreat Hotel). We spent the first couple of days exploring Reykjavik on our own and then toured Fagradalsfjall Volcano, Seljalandsfoss & Skogafoss waterfalls, Reynisfjara Beach, Vatnajökull National Park, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, LAVA Center, Snowmobiling on Eyjafjallajokull Glacier, the Golden Circle, Reykjanes Peninsula, & Blue Lagoon. Everything about the experience was exceptional. The vehicle was very comfortable and had WiFi. All the lunch spot recommendations were delicious for local flavor. We felt very safe and taken care of the whole time. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience

Deluxe Iceland was an amazing experience. Planning our itinerary with Viktor was a breeze. We didn’t have to think about anything once we decided on our trip. Our guide, Unnar, was so fun and knowledgeable. He kept us safe, got us everywhere we wanted to go, and was very flexible if we wanted to stop and check something out. The first trip where I could truly relax and enjoy the experience! Thank you!!
